Greetings from our ministry center in Antigua, Guatemala!

International Director
We ask that you keep the ministry of Living Water Adopt-a-Child (LWAAC) in prayer during the days ahead. This week, Guatemala implemented rigid restrictions in regards to work, transportation and the borders to help control and contain the Covid-19 outbreak. The country of Guatemala is currently on lockdown with Martial Law being implemented from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
All churches and businesses have been given orders to cease operations. While we have followed Guatemala government guidelines by complying with this order, we are doing everything possible to meet as many needs as possible for those we serve in the midst of this crisis. Our ministry in Albania is also experiencing temporary operational interruptions as a result of this pandemic.
Here in Guatemala, we still have 12 members of the Medical Campaign Team with us that have been unable to arrange flights home. Given the scope of the outbreak and ever-evolving nature of this situation, it is likely that they will be with us for an extended period of time. The members of the team are all U.S. citizens and is comprised of Active Duty Military members, doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors and students.
We are happy to report that, as of now, no confirmed cases of Covid-19 exist among our sponsored children or staff. Our staff continues to work tirelessly together to plan for how to build a stronger, more impactful ministry in response to this unprecedented event.
Our hope and prayer is to continue normal ministry operations as soon as possible. We will continue to release updates as new information is available. As always, thank you for your support which is needed now more than ever. God bless you for your generosity and continued commitment to the work of our ministry and the lives we impact for the Kingdom of God.
Advancing the Kingdom,
Steve McDaniel
