Albania is continuing to steadily recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing Living Water Adopt-A-Child (LWAAC) to begin resuming our normal ministry operations. We are anticipating the re-opening of our feeding programs soon with schools now offering on-site instruction. Church activities such as Bible study, youth meetings, and baptism classes have also restarted while continuing to follow social distancing measures.

Feeding Programs Plans for Re-opening

After months of easing public health restrictions across the country, Albanian schools finally resumed instruction in mid-September opening up the possibility for our feeding programs to return to semi-normal operations.

We would begin by distributing food parcels at our feeding program location as opposed to door-to-door deliveries.

While immensely rewarding, this door-to-door individualized process has been very labor-intensive and re-opening the doors of our feeding program will allow us to serve a greater volume of people in need. We are still unable to serve hot food but know that the food parcels will still provide our sponsored children with the nutrition essential to ensure their well-being.

Church Activities Resume Across the Country

Our churches across Albania have reopened and are continuing to host Bible study and youth meetings per local public health measures. The Lord has also blessed us with the opening of two new churches in Pogradec which Homezh which are already experiencing promising results.

Many new faces are curious to learn more about the Gospel and are attending services and Bible study groups.

In Katjel, six new believers recently had the opportunity to publicly confess their faith through baptism at a small indoor gathering held in compliance with current health and safety restrictions.

We Need Your Help

Although our ministry operations are resuming, we are experiencing an unprecedented need for children waiting to receive the life-changing gift of sponsorship due to the widespread economic impact of COVID-19. Your generosity will help us provide nutritious food, essential medical and dental care, and Christ-centered ministry to children living in poverty.

We are grateful for your continued prayers and support. Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Jesus to the poorest of the poor in Albania!
