Donations given beyond our child sponsorships allow us to improve the impoverished communities we serve. Through the generosity of our supporters, we were recently able to repair two homes.
Lencho, a faithful young disciple in our Tunaja Program in Guatemala, attends our local church along with his family. The roof of their home was badly in need of repair, so our Living Water Adopt-A-Child staff in Guatemala purchased the materials, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. We also extend a grateful thank you to the men of the local church who installed the new roof.
The impact of donations like this also extends to Albania. Towards the end of last year, our staff became aware of two elderly ladies living in one of the mountain villages in a house that was also badly in need of repair. We were able not only to provide the materials necessary to repair the roof and some of the internal walls, but we also carried out the repair work. These repairs are significantly improving the living conditions of these women, particularly through the cold winter months.
Generous gifts beyond our sponsorship programs empower us to improve the safety and quality of life for the poorest of the poor in Guatemala and Albania. Gifts such as chickens, food parcels, a sack of corn, and more can be purchased to help offer them hope.
