Our sponsored children, families of sponsored children, and others in the impoverished communities we serve benefit from preventative medical care and assistance with immediate medical needs (e.g. sickness, injury, etc.). For the past couple of years, we’ve been blessed to work with ABC Family Health Center in Tirana, Albania’s capital and largest city. During this time, the organization has coordinated a few special medical campaigns in the villages, but now we are stepping into a new arrangement that will provide more consistent care for those in need.
Under our new partnership, teams from ABC will visit our programs on a regular basis—likely once a month—to assess the needs of patients and offer help where they can.
The first of these regular clinics took place last month in Katjel, located near the eastern border of Albania. The event was executed with professionalism and genuine care for those being served.
We know that these regular free clinics will be a great blessing to the Albanian villagers, who are unable to afford the medical assistance they need. Without the generous support of the practitioners at ABC Family Health Center, these people would continue to suffer from ailments that can be easily treated.
