Since announcing our plans in March for launching a 10th feeding program in Guatemala, much progress has been made on the 3-acre property in Chulumal, Quiche.
Last month, eight cases of plums were picked from the fruit trees on the new property. We pray that we will be able to harvest exceedingly more in the future to meet the physical needs of those in the community. Often, meeting the physical needs of the people also opens doors to satisfy their spiritual hunger.
We are also busily preparing the land for building, and our team is doing an excellent job with the perimeter fencing. Our prayer is to begin the construction of a multi-use building before the end of 2022.
Living Water Church in Chichicastenango, “Cielos Abierto,” is eager to move out of the home they are currently meeting in. In the near future, once a church has been built for them on the property, they will join with the family outreach we’ve started among our neighbors in Chulumal.
“The harvest is indeed plentiful,” says Director Steve McDaniel. “Praise God for the wonderful things happening in Guatemala!”
We celebrate our progress so far and give God all of the glory as we look forward to expanding our efforts including providing a water well and medical clinic to further care for those in Chulumal.
