A group from Gateway Church in Victoria, Canada recently joined us in a mission trip to Guatemala to serve with Living Water Adopt A Child (LWAAC). With them, they brought 16 suitcases filled with toys, medical supplies and school supplies to bless those they encountered through our ministry.

There were several moments that proved to be incredibly impactful. A few members of the group were able to meet some of the children that they sponsor.

“That was a total delight,” says Patti West, “to think that I could go halfway across the world and actually meet this little boy who I was planning on helping to have better nutrition, to be able to go to school… [and] to help his family as well.”

In another incredible encounter, the team spent some time with a family that was living in a cave in the mountains with their six children. The father expressed that he did not feel like he was worthy to receive Christ, but the team was able to lead him to the Lord with much rejoicing.

The experience was a unifying one for the team that further enriched their faith as they came together as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Their evangelistic work in the churches and communities was so important in helping to continue to establish LWAAC as an organization that meets both physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ name.
