Our primary goals at Living Water Adopt a Child are to meet the physical needs of children through nourishing meals and sponsorships, as well as to introduce them to the Living Water who can meet the needs of their souls. However, our mission does not end there! We desire to strengthen the whole self and enable children to live full and enriched lives.
We take this job seriously and recognize that pastoring young goes beyond teaching them about Jesus. Shepherding also involves teaching them life skills! Pastor Ardit, who leads the work in the village of Kotodesh in Albania, has been taking time to help some of the young people who come to the youth meetings learn the necessary skills needed to use a computer such as Word and Excel. Many of our children and youth don’t have a computer, but life will inevitably demand that they know how to use one. This practical help will give these young people some of the skills they will need as they move forward in their lives.
To practice the discipline of learning a skill, our missionary, Christiane Nötzoldt teaches some of the youth guitar lessons! She began this ministry many years ago and is blessed to see the program expanding. We now have a growing Music Education Program, teaching guitar and music to the young people and some of our own staff members. This is already producing fruit, with some of those attending the classes leading worship at some of the children’s meetings and Church Services. It is exciting to be equipping the worship leaders of the future by teaching them a skill that can draw themselves and others closer to the Lord!
We are grateful for every opportunity we have to invest in the lives of these precious children and their families through feeding programs, bible study, life skills or music education. You can provide more opportunities for children by sponsoring a child or giving to support any of these programs.
