Spring has been a busy season for us in Guatemala with many ministry wins to celebrate! Among these are our recent Medical and Dental Campaign, first M25 meal in Tunaja, and 10 year anniversary celebration of a pastor who was once a child served by Living Water Adopt-A-Child. Our team is also busy gathering all the information and photographs needed to share annual sponsorship updates. This huge undertaking is spread over many months as we have thousands of children and adults registered in our programs.

During our recent Medical and Dental Campaign, we were able to treat 1,441 patients over the course of six days. Our evangelism team faithfully shared the gospel every day and 74 people professed Christ as their Savior. We are incredibly thankful and proud of all who helped to make this campaign successful.

The first M25 meal in the Tunaja church took place last month and we are delighted to offer this program for the people there. It is our joy to bless this community, not only with a hot, nutritious meal but with the message of hope that they heard as the gospel was shared with them.

We’re also excited to share that Pastor Wilmar Gonzales, who was once a child in our program, just celebrated 10 years as pastor of our Liberty Church Tunaja! We are incredibly thankful for his faithfulness to serve. At Chichicastenango Church, we recently baptized 11 members! It is such a blessing to see more people coming to the Lord in this area of Guatemala.

Please be in prayer for a few specific things as we continue to work in Guatemala:

  1. Pray for rain as we are in the midst of a very dry season.
  2. Pray for rest for our workers after the intense workload from the medical and dental campaign.
  3. Pray a prayer of blessing for our bilingual secretaries who work in our offices to translate letters and updates from our sponsors. They are so valued and appreciated.
  4. Pray for the teams gathering sponsor information, that they would be able to speak to all the families, get good photographs and share the love of Jesus with them while they do.
  5. Pray that the Lord would provide resources and tradesmen who would be able to complete some necessary work on our building in Zone 5 very soon.

Thank you for your constant prayers and encouragement. Your support enables us to care for the least of these in the name of Jesus!
