We are blessed to serve some of the most vulnerable people throughout Albania and Guatemala, providing care for “the least of these” in the name of Jesus. From distributing essential resources like food, clothing and medical aid, to sharing the gospel through evangelism and discipleship, we are committed to making a lasting, Kingdom impact. This year, we’ve seen success in both countries—whether it’s reaching children through holiday camps in Albania or cultivating sustainable agriculture through the Blessing Fields in Guatemala. Here’s a glimpse into the life-changing work God is doing through Living Water Adopt a Child (LWAAC).
Our Work in Albania
As a ministry, we are called to be a blessing not only through our regular efforts of providing food parcels, medical assistance and gospel teaching but also in partnership with other organizations. This year alone, we have provided over 6,000 boxes of clothing and 15,000 phone cases, used for outreach and distributed free of charge through our programs, churches and other ministries in the region.
LWAAC Albania has also produced and distributed more than 26,000 items for evangelism and discipleship—an achievement made possible through partnerships with several wonderful ministries. We have hosted more than five training events this year, offering logistics and support to ensure the Kingdom of God is being built through church planting, discipleship and evangelism efforts, benefiting over 100 leaders and church workers.
Thank you for your help and support in impacting communities in Albania and making an eternal impact in their lives.
Summer Holiday Clubs
Our annual Holiday Camps are a much-anticipated part of the year in Albania. The children eagerly anticipate them, frequently asking when they will take place. We are grateful for the opportunity to reach out to the village children and offer them fun activities while sharing the message of the gospel. It brings us great joy to see so many children excited to attend.
It was an added blessing to have youth from Tirana come down to help with the camp in Pogradec. The children truly enjoyed meeting others from different areas and backgrounds, realizing they are all united in God’s family.
Our Work in Guatemala
The Blessing Field Project: Seven Years On
Several years ago, the Lord gave our International Director, Steve McDaniel, a vision for the Blessing Fields. Starting with nothing but faith, we now have 13 cows, many turkeys, hundreds of chickens, as well as geese and goats on the land adjacent to our program in Chixocol, Guatemala.
The fields of corn, tomatoes, and sácate are flourishing. The harvested produce provides much-needed resources for the ministry and the local community. Recently, with the help of two local boys from the program, we sent six cases of tomatoes to the market for sale and gave two more away to families. The boys were then allowed to pick as much as they could carry to take home to their own families.
Through donations to the project, many rural families have been blessed with their own chickens. In one month alone, we distributed 60 chickens! Many more families are on the waiting list for their own.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each one of you who has supported this project over the past seven years. It has made a significant impact in the mountain communities of Guatemala.
Chulumal Progress
We are excited to report steady progress on the construction of our new center in Chulumal. The walls, roof, flooring, and paintwork for the kitchen area behind the main building are now complete and we are awaiting the installation of windows and doors.
As we plan for the future use of the Chulumal site, we want to ensure we have enough space to host mission groups who will serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in this community. To meet this need, we aim to build mission team accommodations on the property at a cost of around $8,000. We are actively working to raise the necessary funds to make this possible.
The need in this area is great and the Lord continues to inspire and expand our efforts to serve the people of Chulumal and spread the hope of the Gospel.
Thank You for Helping Us Transform Lives
As we reflect on the incredible work God has done through our ministry in Albania and Guatemala so far this year, we are filled with gratitude for the support and prayers that have made it all possible. From meeting practical needs to spreading the hope of the Gospel, your partnership continues to transform lives and build His Kingdom. We look forward to what the future holds, trusting that God will continue to guide us as we serve these communities and expand His reach. Together, we can share the hope that comes from Jesus Christ. Thank you!
