This spring, a team of compassionate doctors, dentists, nurses and medical professionals from the U.S. and Canada partnered with our local staff in Guatemala to bring vital care to those in need. For one week, we offered free medical and dental clinics in remote mountain communities where access to health services is incredibly limited.
According to the World Bank, nearly 60% of Guatemala’s population lives below the national poverty line, and many in rural regions must travel hours or even days to reach a doctor. In areas like the ones we serve, it’s not uncommon for families to go years without any form of medical or dental attention.
This is why these clinics matter so much!
In just one week, 1,409 people received care, many of whom were children and elderly individuals who had never seen a medical professional before. While patients waited, our team of evangelists shared the love of Christ, and 19 individuals made the life-changing decision to follow Jesus. Praise God!
It was a powerful week of healing, both physically and spiritually.
We’re so grateful for the medical professionals who gave their time and talents and for the support of our ministry partners who make trips like this possible. We also want to thank those who partnered with us financially to help support this medical clinic. Together, we’re making a difference that goes far beyond medicine, bringing hope in Jesus’ name.
