At Living Water Adopt-A-Child, we believe that every new project is a doorway to deeper ministry, and in Guatemala, doors are opening in powerful ways! We’re excited to share two recent updates that are already bearing fruit and creating space for even more lives to be impacted by the love of Christ.
A Fresh Start for Tunajá
In the mountainous village of Tunajá, our program has recently undergone a complete transformation. A brand-new expansion now houses classrooms for children and a fully functional kitchen. The old wooden-beamed roof was replaced with durable metal beams and sheeting, and the church building received a much-needed fresh coat of paint.
We celebrated the completion of the renovation with a rededication service, thanking God for His provision and presence. The day ended with an M25 meal where we fed the community, clothed families, offered prayer and served with joy. It was a beautiful reminder that buildings are not just physical structures but are places where God’s people gather, grow and experience His love.
Clean Water and Sustainable Power in Chulumal
Meanwhile, in Chulumal, perseverance has paid off in a big way. After months of hard work and a few setbacks, we’re thrilled to report that our site now has a generous supply of clean water! With a new pump installed at the well, we’re preparing the land for a new phase of agricultural ministry through our Blessing Fields Project, where corn will soon be planted to bless local families.
Because power in the area is unreliable, we’re installing solar panels to ensure consistent energy for the water pump, our dental clinic and the children’s classrooms. These improvements are laying the foundation for long-term ministry impact in this remote area.
